Title: BLANCING.
 
Natural dark brown stoneware clay sculpture.
The upright vessel has a twist in the upper part of its body, which gives the illusion of a constant moving object.
The sculpture is positioned and fixed on a natural Portland stone plinth.
 
By positioning the dark clay sculpture on the light grey stone, it’s creates the illusion that the sculpture is floating whilst constantly on the move.
 
The fine carvings that cover the body of the sculpture enhance the feelings of movement and tell us the story of our journey in our life as well as the future routes we might follow.
 
Artist’s statement: By manipulating the media of clay I have created a shape that contorts and stretches whilst also forms an organic sculpture that resembles a human form.
 
The result, is a sculpture that feels as if it is constantly moving and transforming.

I can deliver locally in a radius of 20 km or I can use Van Go Art Couriers which is a well regarded art transporter within the galleries I work with.
