Abstract sculpture course. (01.02.25)

Service Description

Our 1-day sculpture course is a perfect way to be introduced to clay and hand building in a relaxed environment with small groups of up to 5 participants. During this one-day course we will explore and discuss sculptures, and dive into what emotions they make us feel and why artist such as Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth work is so outstanding and emotive. We will start by doing some rough sketches before we begin our hand-built sculptures. During the day there will be one to one teaching, and we will be looking at different surface decorations. After the class you will be welcome to take your art piece home to continue to work on it and then bring it back to me for firing or if you prefer you can leave it in my studio to dry before firing it in my pottery kiln. We will be working in black and white stoneware. This class is a great opportunity to explore your inner creative artist in a safe and welcome environment.
